Gerald Brown just turned sixty-three last week, but he tells his nurse that he feels more like 163. In recent weeks he has been complaining of extreme fatigue and malaise; he just doesn't feel like doing the things he used to do. He tried playing a couple of rounds of golf, but carrying the bag from his car to the clubhouse literally wore him out. He simply is losing strength, and constantly feels like he is short of breath; his wife became concerned when she noticed he was retaining fluid, particularly in his feet and ankles.

Gerald needs to see a(n) ___________ nurse.
a) ambulatory care
b) infection control
c) HIV/AIDs
d) cardiac
e) gastroenterology/endoscopy

Sounds as he is presenting with HIV/AIDs, and probably should get seen in the ER.
