E. Significant Tax Cuts

Truman increased the tax credits to $40 per individual and $40 per dependent. So, a family of 4 had a $160 cost of living tax credit. He made up for lost tax revenue by increasing taxes on corporations. These tax changes were ultimately beneficial to the economy.
