What did william hooper have on the outcome of the war;?

William Hooper did not initially support the idea of declaration of independence, his past dealings making many Americans believe he was a loyalist. The British continued to seek and capture him during the way. An attempt to bomb him was unsuccessful as he and his family narrowly escaped death leaving Hooper to rely on his friends for care and protection
