The Montgomery Bus Boycott was "sparked when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat" on a Montgomery bus. The boycott lasted from 12/5/55-12/20/55. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. emerged as a leader in the Civil Rights Movement. The US Supreme Court ordered Montgomery to integrate the bus system.
