Slope of any given line that passes the points
(x_(1) ,y_(1)) and
(x_(2) ,y_(2)) has a slope of

slope= ((y_(1)-y_(2)))/((x_(1)-x_(2))) = ((y_(2)-y_(1)))/((x_(2)-x_(1)))
so slop of this line will be

slope = ((-2)-3)/(8-7) = (3-(-2))/(7-8)= -5
Slope is -5
Hope this helps!
