Add the numbers of the ratio:
4 + 6 + 8 = 18
The ratio of the shortest side to the perimeter is 4:18.
The actual perimeter is 126.
4:18 = x:126
18x = 4 * 126
18x = 504
x = 28
Answer: The shortest side measures 28 ft.
