I believe the answer is: resolutions of honor or recognition

resolutions of honor or recognition refers to the determination (written or not) that is aimed to get a sense of appreciation from other individuals for our actions/accomplishment.
In our society, we could make this type of determination even without the permission of others.

What types of resolutions are acted on without debate and without requiring members to read the resolution?
