The bulls eye on an archery target has a radius of 3 inches. the entire target has a radius of 9 inches. to the nearest tenth, find the area of the target outside of the bulls eye.

Area of a circle = πr²

Area of the archery target = 81π

Area of the bull's eye :

Area of the bull's eye = 3²π

Area of the bull's eye = 9π

Area outside the bull's eye :
--------------------------------------------------------
Area of the target outside the bull's eye = 81π - 9π

Area of the target outside the bullseye =72π or 226.19 in²
