megan spent 56.58 on three pairs of jeans. if each pair of jeans costs the same amount write an algebraic equation that represents this situation and solve to determine how much one pair of jeans cost

Let’s say that x= one pair of jeans
In this question there are 3 pairs
Three pairs= 3x
3x=56.58
So x=56.58/3 which is your equation
Each pair is £18.86, in case you need it for reference
