Find the hypotenuse of a right triangle if the legs are: 5 and 12

Use Pythagoras which is c*squared = a*squared + b*squared
In this case a would be 5 and b would be 12. If you add these into the equation and then square root your answer, that should be the hypotenuse of the triangle. Hope I helped, have a nice day :)

You use pythagorus theorem. 5squared plus 12squared equals 169. So what squared is equal to 169? The answer would be 13
