I will show you the algebraic way to solve this first.
Let x = Mark's speed, this means Susan's speed = x + 8
Susan's distance = 3(x + 8) because she drove for two hours, then Mark left and drove for an hour which means Susan drove for 3 hours
Mark's distance = 1x

200 - 174 = 26 has been covered by the 2 drivers
3(x + 8) + 1x = 26
3x + 24 + 1x = 26
4x = 2
x = 0.5
Mark's speed is 0.5 mph... must be driving busted scooters
