Italians and Germans supported Francisco Franco in the Spanish Civil War because they wanted to develop new equipment and strategies to use in future wars.

The Nationalist Faction received weapons of all kinds and airplanes practically from the first day on the part of Germany and Italy to which soon complete military units were added (the German Condor Legion and the Italian CTV) in a continuous flow that never stopped throughout the war.
