Mr. Diaz asked his students to develop a dichotomous key to classify vascular land plants. Marynell and Sarah were given the pictures seen here. Their first step in developing the key was to choose one broad category to use in separating this plant from others. One way would be to separate plants as

One way would be to separate plants as
A) having xylem or phloem.
B) having leaves or having needles.
C) having woody tissue or non-woody tissue.
D) being wind pollinated versus insect pollinated.

B or C I think.
