As the party grew, it needed better organization.Hitler appointed two efficient administrators to run Nazi headquarters; Philipp Bouhler (secretary) and Franz Schwarz (treasurer).He also divided the party into regions; he appointed a network of gauleiters answerable only to him, who ran the NSDAP in each gaue, or region.To fund all this, Hitler improved party finances mainly by befriending Germany's most wealthy businessmen.They shared his hatred of Communism and hoped Hitler would limit the power of trade unions.By the early 1930s, the Nazis were receiving donations from giants of German industry such as Krupp and Bosch.
