Justinian I, traditionally identified as Justinian the Great was the Eastern Roman emperor in the period between 527 to 565. Justinian's rule establishes a different era in the records of the Later Roman Empire. The major goal of Justinian I during his reign was to reunite the Roman Empire, restore its former glory and to reclaim succumbed area in the West.
