The sequence of the sea anemone have genes that code for proteins and their regulation is similar to that of fruit flies and several other animal models. Sea anemones are stationary but also move either by slow sliding motions or by attaching on another animal and hitching a ride. Sea anemones also catch prey using their tentacles and direct the prey to their mouth.
