this is certainly true. the researchers attributed this to two hormones that control amount of fat in the body. They concluded that with sleep deprivation, the levels of leptin (which reports body fat to the brain) fall, and ghrelin (the appetite-stimulating stomach hormone) rise. with more food intake and less control obesity becomes unavoidable.
