Mahatma Gandhi.

Mahatma Gandhi is universally famous for his passive resistant approach to protest the oppressive state India was suffering. He lead nonviolent civil disobedience acts to oppose British rule. Some examples of these acts are hunger strikes, protests and sit ins. Since, Gandhi has been a source of inspiration for civil rights leaders around the world.
