A house’s patio is shaped like a square and measures 11 feet on each side. The front porch of the house is shaped like a rectangle. It is 4 deer wide and 36 feet long. What is the difference, in square feet, between the area of the front porch and the area of the patio?

First you need to get the area of the patio which is LengthxWidth so 11x11=121 feet squared or you can do 121 with an exponent of . Then you need to find the area of the porch which is 4x36=144. And 144-121=23. The answer is 23 square feet, 23 feet squared, or 23 with the exponent 2
