Women had to clean up after the war that means they had to pick up the dead...
And they had to clean up trash, Guns, etc.

Women had to mostly do nursing in order to be in the army. They had to help the injured and also work in factories due to all the men leaving for the war. Also they had to deal with dead bodies and missing limbs
