The answer would be: b. 0.5-2 lbs/week

Losing too much body weight will be dangerous to overweight people. Losing weight based on percentage also dangerous because the body composition people was mostly made of fat.
Research also says that losing a small but consistent weight will be more successful in reducing weight at long term.
