I believe the answer is: Volatile.
Volatile couple much more likely to happen if both partners in the relationship have a strong character and domineering tendencies.
So rather than seeking the best solution when arguing with the partner, they seek a way to obtain some sort of victory toward another in order to obtain the dominant hand in the relationship.
