Most settlers in colonial towns and villages worked in specialized fields, like carpentry or baking. What was the relationship of these workers within the community?

They have developed close ties with other workers and specialization in high degrees because colonies are still small and need to work hand in hand to achieve things and survive the harsh living in the new colonies. Also it developed high degrees of specialization because only few people are there and each one has a role to play in a small trying to survive society.
