Which evidence—a fossil, a tree ring, or an ice core—would be most helpful to a historian studying how the pilgrims grew food at plymouth colony in 1620? explain your reasoning?

A tree ring would show rainfall so that would be important for crop growth

So it obviously wouldn’t be a fossil because that’s the wrong time period, ice cores are probably hard to come by in America, but tree rings would show the weather conditions of that time.
