The act passed that required the colonists to pay tax on Imports, which could only come from Britain was the Townshend Acts.

The Townshend Acts were passed by the Parliament of England in 1767. These acts taxed goods imported to the colonies in North America. Of course, these acts were not accepted by the Americans. By December 1767, pamphlets were circulating in the colonies calling for boycotting British goods.
