The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) was an organization that focused on using peaceful means of protests to bring light to the inequality faced by African-Americans in the US. Their ultimate goal was to bring changes to unjust policies against African-Americans. This group used several different means in order to achieve this goal including sit-ins and freedom rides. These coordinated events resulted in national media attention. Along this this, individuals in this organization remained peaceful at all times despite the physical violence they faced.
