For this, we need to to use the point slope formula, which is "y − y1 = m(x − x1)"

y1 = the y point, and x1 = the x point of the coordinate you want the graph to go through (x1,y1) <-- this is basically (-4,1)

Therefore, all you need to do is plug the numbers in. You will get:

y-1 = -5/4(x+4)

It is (x+4) because x1 = -4. in the formula, the formula is (x-x1), therefore (x-(-4)) turns to (x+4)

Basically your final answer is y-1 = -5/4(x+4)
