In Chapter 15 of Hatchet, Brian thinks about how differently time passes in his world. Days are not as important as they used to be. Brian explains that now ''A day was nothing, not a thing to remember--it was just sun coming up, sun going down, some light in the middle. But events--events were burned into his memory.
