so we can write

`(x)/(y) =0.6.....(ii)`

Now solve these two equations together we get

`0.6y-y=0.6......(i)`

`-0.4y=0.6`

`y=-3/2=-1.5`

`x =0.6+y`

`x =0.6-1.5=-0.9`

Hence the numbers are -1.5 and -0.9
