Which statement is true about the functions?
The exponential function is generally growing slower than the linear function.
The exponential function is generally growing faster than the linear function.

It's the second one.
since the graph is exponential, it grows faster.
After all for example: 3 squared is different than saying 3×2. That's the whole reasoning behind this question

Answer:

When , you will look at the graph of exponential function ,it passes through the points (0,1),(1,2),(2,4),(3,8)...

It means, y coordinate is changing square of x coordinate.

So, the exponential function can be written as

y=2^x

Now, coming to linear function, it passes through (0,0),(1,2),(2,4)...

So, it's equation can be written as ,or can be derived also, but i have written directly, because it passes through origin

y=2 x

Option B: The exponential function is generally growing faster than the linear function is true statement.
