That is carbondioxide react with water in the presence of Light energy and chlorophyll to give glucose and oxygen.

Water is oxidized which means it loses electron and also CO2 is reduced which means it gain electron. Therefore carbondioxide is reduced to sugar in photosynthesis and water is oxidized to oxygen.
