Lenin and Stalin based their economic policies on the ideas of german Philosopher karl Marx and his French partner Engel. The ideas were later called marxism.
the main domestic economic differences are on the issue of land and industries. while Lenin redistributed land to the peasants, stalin came back for the land and took it. in industries, lenin focussed on industrialization with the common man in mind, while Stalin forgot the common man completely. (Stalin is said to have destroyed all good that was created by Lenin).
