Amount of variation would increase. This is true since DNA polymerase in this question has no proofreading abilities, which results in an increase in errors in DNA being passed down through cellular division. Especially if the cell goes through Meiosis after DNA replication, offspring will attain the genetic material that is varied from the parents.

Hope this helps! :)
