One example of green algae that exhibits multicellularity are seaweeds. It is a macro algae that refers to several species of marine, multicellular and macroscopic algae. It offers excellent opportunities for industrial misuse as they could be the main source of thousands of compounds for example proteins and phenols to the food applications, animal feeds or fertilizers.
