We have to convert moles to mass of carbon dioxide. We use the molar mass of carbon dioxide to convert moles to mass of
CO_(2)

Finding out the molar mass of
CO_(2):

(1 * Molar mass of C) + (2 *Molar mass of O)

(1 * 12 (g)/(mol)) + (2 * 16 (g)/(mol)) = 44 (g)/(mol)

Converting 1.183 mol carbon dioxide to mass (g):

1.183 mol CO_(2) * (44 g CO_(2))/(1 mol CO_(2)) = 52.05 g CO_(2)
