The revolution that sparkled up the enlightmet is the scientific revolution. This revolution was supported and created by many figures, which in time helped the western culture escape the climate of scientific disbelief imposed by the catholic church. Particulary notable were the progress made in physics and mathematics, propelling the new scientific discovers that shaped the enlightment. Protagonists of this revolution were Galileo Galilei, Copernicus and Kepler, just to name a few of them.
