Venipuncture should be initiated 1-2 inches above the crease of the wrist.
Venipuncture is a procedure to insert a needle into veins. The purpose of this procedure mostly to draw blood or inject drugs into the veins. It is recommended to do the venipuncture in the area distal to the body. Leg vein is much bigger than hands but it will increase the risk of developing embolism so it mostly used as last option.
