Humanism help solves problems applying human reasoning to question, instead of just have faith in God. Humanism was a movement about making human at the centre of the conversion, thus helping to resolve problems using a human perspective instead of a divine one, like it was common at the end of the Middle Age.

Renaissance scholars were able to study ancient texts thanks to the efforts of previous scholars, that, particularly in the Middle Age, were dedicated to copy and pass on ancient tests. They were called the amanuensis, as their work was to copy old books that otherwise would be lost forever. This new version of old books constituted the base for the renaissance studies.
