Approximately 1% of sunlight pierces the rainforest canopy. In a tropical rainforest, the ground receives around 1% of light during the dry season and around 2% of light during the wet season. During the dry season, it is presumed to be sunnier whilst during the wet season it is presumed to be cloudier.
