Do you think President Herbert Hoover’s response to the economic downturn that began in 1929 was adequate?

No, of course not. He didn't do anything to address the economic pitfalls that were occurring in his nation. He believed that the American people should figure all of these problems out on their own, with absolutely no help from the federal government. People started to call their wrecked neighborhoods "Hoovervilles" because Hoover was no help at all. It wasn't until FDR who decided to tackle these problems with his New Deal and other policies. President Herbert Hoover, on the other hand, sucked.
