The answer would be c. unwinding the helix. That job actually belongs to the enzyme helicase, which breaks the bonds between the DNA strands. DNA polymerase, on the other hand, adds base pairs, bonds the nucleotides, and fixes any mistakes. So answers A, C, and D are all in fact characteristics of DNA polymerase. Hope this was helpful :)
