To stay safe during a hurricane or tornado, you should have an emergency kit handy that consists of basic first aide materials, a flashlight, batteries, portable chargers, a radio, water, and non perishable food. It would also be a good idea to have so matches handy in case you run out of batteries. I would also recommend picking a room to hide in that has NO to LITTLE windows, for they can become a hazard if one were to be broken. I would also suggest boarding your windows with shutters or plywood to prevent the windows from breaking. Lastly, here is the most basic but important piece of advice that everyone should know: DONT GO OUTSIDE AT ALL COSTS!!! Going outsides is the quickest way to die or get critically injured during a hurricane or tornado.
