my failure in the attempt to liberate Venuzuela was caused by two main factors.
The first was changing global allignment. I often relied on British assistance which often failed and failed completely due to the FRench revolution when spain become a British ally.

Secondly, betrayal by friends, who handed me over to the royal regimes.
