What is a major difference between modern audiences and audiences during Shakespeare time

One major difference is the expectation on how an audience should behave. Audiences in Shakespeare's time were very rowdy and disorderly--they would throw things and yell at the actors if they didn't like what was happening. They also would feel free to leave the theatre to get food or drink in the middle of a scene. Today's audiences are expected to be much more civil and quiet during a performance, staying in their seat the whole time.
