What number should go in the empty boxes to complete the calculation for finding the product of 0.63 × 0.24?

0.63 times 0.24 equals box 52 plus 1 box 60 equals 0.1512

(Hint: it is the same number. Input only one number in the blank.)

I'm thinking:
0.63 * 0.24 = 0.1512
and
I have no idea on:
52 + 1 # 60 = 0.1512?

Answer:

0.63 x 0.24 = 0.0252 + 0.1260 = 0.1512

Explanation:

I believe the problem should be setup like this:

0.63 x 0.24 = 0.0_52 + 0.1_60 = 0.1512

Adding the number with the blanks will give us: 0.1(x+1)12

Adding 5+6 carries a 1 into the blank number, now all that's left to do is subtract that from the product, 0.1512:

0.1512 - 0.1(x+1)12

x + 1 =5

x = 4

Keep in mind that "x" corresponds to the addition of both blank values and since they are the same, the blanks should be filled with the number 2.
