Small groups or clusters of neuron cell bodies and dendrites found in the interior of the brain are called: a ganglion.
A ganglion is a group of cell bodies and dendritic structures which are connected. There are three types of ganglion:
· Autonomic ganglion (cell bodies of autonomic nerves)
· Spinal ganglion (cell bodies of sensory neurons)
· Cranial nerve ganglion (cell bodies of cranial nerve neurons).
