what would happen if one organism within your ecosystem increased in population ( increased in number)? in other words, how would it affect the other organisms in the ecosystem?

the population of its prey would decrease. It would take up space in the ecosystem, that other organisms probably need. It would eat up the plants if it is not a carnivore, which is probably eaten by other organisms as well. so that plant population would also decrease.
