Calvin is ready to settle down and get married. when he meets single women he makes note of their potential suitability as a marriage partner in terms of their level of education, values, interests, whether they live nearby, and their attractiveness. in doing so, he is narrowing the pool of potential partners to a small number of candidates. which theory might explain calvin's process of finding a spouse?

Calvin’s behavior can be explained through Filter theory. This is known as a sociological theory by which the individual is concerned more about having to date and to select potential mate or partners by which it proposes that the social structure is being limited by the number of the eligible candidates for the mate.
