In the activity series, the metal that loses their electrons more easily are less reactive compared to metals that forms positive ions. In addition, an activity series is a list of substances in order from most reactive to least reactive and its relative reactivity can be determined by using a number of chemical reaction. Moreover, metals in the activity series need to lose their electrons, or be oxidized or some metals will tend to stay in their neutral state.
