For question 5, the answer would be "is the same as the original cell." Before mitosis, the chromosome number duplicates (for example: 23 to 46) so that when it divides into two cells, those two cells will have the same number of chromosomes as the original (23). So it'll go from 23 to 46 before mitosis in a process called interphase, then split at the end of mitosis, and your result will be two cells with 23 chromosomes because 46 divided by 2 is 23.
